Shana Bernstein
Shana Bernstein is Clinical Associate Professor of Legal Studies and American Studies at Northwestern University, where she also teaches classes in American Studies and History. She is also a Distinguished Lecturer for the Organization of American Historians, and is the author of Bridges of Reform: Interracial Civil Rights Activism in Twentieth-Century Los Angeles (Oxford University Press, 2011). Bernstein recently published an article on environmental health in immigrant neighborhoods in early twentieth century Chicago and is currently working on a project on the history of consumer, producer, and environmental health in the California strawberry industry.
Shana is the Director of the Program in American Studies at Northwestern University.
