The core mission of the Taube Center for Jewish Studies is to promote scholarship in Jewish Studies, a mission that includes welcoming scholars at all stages of their careers with expertise in various aspects of Jewish Studies. The Center seeks to provide a supportive context for scholars from other universities and institutions seeking to do Jewish Studies related research at Stanford and to advance the careers of Stanford graduates.

Eli Reinhard Postdoctoral Fellowship
Overview
The Taube Center for Jewish Studies at Stanford University invites qualified candidates to apply to the Eli Reinhard Postdoctoral Fellowship. The Reinhard Fellow will be appointed for two-years, beginning in the Fall of 2023.
We invite applications from Jewish Studies scholars with a focus in Religious Studies, Jewish literature and languages, or Gender Studies from any time period whose research interests would complement and contribute to the ongoing work of our faculty and our students, and whose work promises to make a significant contribution to the field of Jewish Studies.
The Fellowship will provide a minimum annual salary of $69,000, and will include benefits and an annual research stipend. This is a full-time position, housed in the Taube Center for Jewish Studies. The Fellow will be expected to be in residence at Stanford, and to be an active member of our scholarly community. This includes being available to students for mentoring or teaching a course, participating in the Graduate Student Research Colloquium, and presenting a public lecture or workshop each year reflecting the progress of their research. The Fellow may not undertake any other sustained employment for the duration of their postdoctoral appointment.
Applicants must have earned their PhD within the past 3 years. Advanced doctoral students applying must include a statement from their dissertation supervisor indicating that they will have the Ph.D. conferred by July 1, 2023. Preference will be given to candidates who have not previously held another postdoctoral appointment.

- A letter of intent stating how the applicant would use the fellowship period to further their research and scholarly publication (not to exceed 5 pages);
- A current CV;
- A writing sample, not to exceed 20 pages;
- An official transcript from the applicant's doctoral-granting institution;
- Names and contact information of three recommenders;

Eli Reinhard Stanford Alumni Postdoctoral Fellowship Or Stanford Dissertation Completion Fellowship
Overview
The Taube Center for Jewish Studies at Stanford University invites qualified candidates to apply to the Eli Reinhard Stanford Alumni Postdoctoral Fellowship Or Stanford Dissertation Completion Fellowship. The Stanford Reinhard Fellow will be appointed for one year, from September 2023-August 2024.
>We invite applications from Stanford graduates or Stanford PhD students in any discipline who work on Jewish Studies topics, broadly defined. We seek to support the finalizing or revising of the dissertation with an eye toward publication alongside promoting the recipient's ongoing research using Stanford Libraries and with access to the Taube Center's core and affiliated faculty.
The Fellowship will provide a minimum annual salary of $68,500, and will include benefits and an annual research stipend. This is a full-time position, housed in the Taube Center for Jewish Studies. The Fellow will be expected to be in residence at Stanford, and to be an active member of our scholarly community. This includes participating in the Graduate Student Research Colloquium and presenting a public lecture reflecting the progress of their research. Teaching opportunities may also be possible. The Fellow may not undertake any other sustained employment for the duration of their postdoctoral appointment.

- Advanced doctoral students must be currently enrolled in a PhD program at Stanford University.
- Applicants must include a statement from their dissertation supervisor indicating that they will have the Ph.D. conferred by the end of the fellowship period, August 2024.

- Name and contact information of up to one reference outside of Stanford (optional).
