Ursy works on 20th century German history and literature. During her previous studies in Oxford, Ursy specialized in German and German-Jewish literary culture from the 1890s to the early 2000s, exploring intersections between history, literature and heritage studies. 

Having held a cataloguing fellowship at the Warburg Institute in London in 2025, Ursy is particularly interested in post-Holocaust material culture and intellectual aesthetics, especially the impact of the Second World War and the Shoah on twentieth-century academia. She recently published her first article on German-Jewish refugee scholars in the 1940s in England.
