"Disabling the Historiography of Jewish Resistance: How a DisCrit Analysis of CommunalCare During the Holocaust Deconstructs Hierarchical Narratives of Survival" 

This paper seeks to offer a new framework of historiography to Jewish resistance during the holocaust: one rooted in the framework of disability critical race studies (DisCrit). DisCrit examines the co-construction of race and disability, and recognizes that racialization is an inherently disabling project. I engage with scholarship that challenges the imposed boundaries between care and resistance, and establish that modes of communal care enacted by Jewish communities during the holocaust are themselves forms of resistance.
