"I am a senior graduating in American Studies with Honors. I studied abroad in Paris and, upon my return to Stanford, continued to pursue my interest in French. I enjoyed Professor Ulloa’s course, Literature and Society in Africa and the Caribbean, for which I wrote this paper. She received the Nelee Langmuir Award (for excellence and commitment in French) in 2017 for her essay  "La Sexualité et l’intimité féminine dans Le chant des mariées et caramel.”
